       Peristaltic pump is the fastest growing technology in the world. It is replacing other positive displacement pumps that are complex and frequently maintained in terms of chemical metering. Acids, bases and solvents corrode the valves, seals, rotors and moving parts of the diaphragm pump and the single screw pump (the two most commonly used pump), resulting in the destruction of the pump, the shutdown and the increase of the cost of the life cycle.
       The working principle of peristaltic pump can reduce these costs. The peristaltic pump has no valves, no leakage, and no mechanical parts on the product line. The fluid only contacts the inner wall or pipe of the hose, and the cost of the pipe is very low, and the maintenance is little and it is very durable.
       In physiology, peristalsis refers to the contraction and relaxation of muscles around the tubular organs, thus promoting the flow of internal fluids. The operation principle of the peristaltic pump is very simple. A hose or tube is placed along the fixed pump housing and compressed by the roller from outside. When the roller or the bump moves along the outside of the tube, the fluid is pushed into the outlet, and the more fluid is inhaled in the pump when the hose back to the rear of the roller is restored to the original shape.
       The hose or pipe of the pump can be made of different elastomer materials, and has long service life, and is resistant to corrosion of concentrated acid and strong alkali solvent. The simplicity of the wet end of the peristaltic pump is the opposite of the complexity of the diaphragm pump. The pump shell, diaphragm, ball valve and sealing material of the diaphragm pump must be carefully selected to prevent a failure of the pump from corrosive liquid corrosion.
       Positive displacement pumps are usually used for metering or adding accurate quantities of chemicals. For the peristaltic pump, the flow rate is proportional to the speed, and the fully sealed hose or tube keeps the pump continuously moving in positive displacement to prevent the flow down caused by the countercurrent.
